• The Ohio State University, Programs of Study in Folklore
  Ohio State offers a wide range of options for studying folklore as a major or minor concentration. Our Web page on Programs of Study offers more detailed information.
• Department of Popular Culture, Bowling Green State University
  Although other universities offer graduate study in folklore and folklife, Bowling Green State University is the only university in the United States to implement a graduate department devoted to the scholarly study of popular culture.

Folklore Organizations and Societies

• CITYFOLK
  CITYFOLK is the Miami Valley's traditional and ethnic arts organization. CITYFOLK produces the annual CITYFOLK Festival, which presents a social dance series and coordinates educational programs, showcasing a wide range of artists and reflecting the rich, cultural diversity of the Dayton community.
• Cincinnati Folklife
  Cincinnati Folklife is a member-supported non-profit arts organization. Concerts by nationally and internationally known musicians are presented approximately four times a year. Cincinnati Folklife also sponsors The Cincinnati Celtic Music and Cultural Festival each autumn.

  Folknet is a not-for-profit educational organization that exists to nurture the development and expansion of a vibrant folk and traditional arts community of performers, organizations and advocates.
• Rural Life Center
  Rural Life Center at Kenyon College promotes education, scholarship, and public projects about rural life. Through collaboration with the central Ohio community, the Rural Life Center seeks to enhance the quality of rural life.

  The Turkish American Society of Northeastern Ohio strives to promote and strengthen the bonds among the people having the appreciation of Turkish culture in Northeastern Ohio and other parts of the U.S.A. The group sponsors Middfest International, a festival to promote world understanding, friendship, and peace.
