Congratulations to Matthew Campbell, who defended his qualifying exams this morning with a committee headed by Ryan Skinner and Danielle Fosler-Lussier and completed by Barry Shank and Dorry Noyes. Campbell is now ABD in the Program in Ethnomusicology. With the aid of a competitive Mershon Center grant and funding from the School of Music, he will visit various national archives this summer to examine audio letters exchanged between soldiers and their spouses or romantic partners during the Vietnam War.
