Revolutionary Medicine: A Story of the First Garifuna Hospital is a documentary film about a community that got fed up and built their own hospital.Jesse was a key member of The Real News Network, a viewer-funded video news service based in Washinton, DC. From 2009 to 2011 he produced more than 100 investigative video pieces focused on economics, politics and social movements in North and Central America. Since 2012, Jesse has directed five half-hour documentaries for teleSUR, the world’s largest public Spanish-language broadcaster. He also contributes shorter reports for teleSUR’s ‘USA de Verdad’ and ‘Conexión Global’ programs.Jesse has collaborated on numerous other video projects including working as a co-producer for Al Jazeera’s Fault Lines and as a member of the CUTV video news collective during the 2012 Québec student strike.If you require assistance to attend these events, please contact Bishal at karna.5@osu.edu.
