Brownbag Lunch: Ray Cashman
Ray Cashman will discuss his fieldwork with an Irish storyteller and consider (with your help) how to conceptualize a book-length study based on one person and his or her “lore.” So far this project calls for reconsiderations of repertoire, worldview, sense of place, and the folkloristic and anthropological traditions of one-person studies.
