Ohio State provides a wide range of options for studying folklore as a major or minor concentration. Because of new initiatives and new hires, these options are expanding; structures are also changing as we work to consolidate and coordinate our offerings. It is therefore strongly recommended that you consult folklore faculty members as you make your plans so that you can be guided to the most appropriate opportunities. Students at all levels are invited to contact Center Interim Director Amy Shuman at firstname.lastname@example.org (fall 2018) or Galey Modan (email@example.com) and make an appointment to discuss their interests. In addition, all students are welcome to attend Center activities to explore a possible interest.
A complete list of upcoming graduate and undergraduate course offerings is published by the Center each quarter at the time of registration and is posted on our course pages.
