In an informal conversation with students, Dr. DuBois will discuss contrasting ideas of the sun in Baltic, Germanic, Finnic, and Sami lore with an eye toward giving students a methodological topic for discussion: how can one integrate medieval and post-medieval evidence in a manner that will be convincing to a medievalist audience?
