Humanities Institute Reopening Celebration

Humanities Institute Reopening Celebration
November 8, 2023
5:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Humanities Suite: 455 Hagerty Hall

Save the date for our big celebration as we reopen the Humanities Suite following a season of renovations. The Center for Folklore Studies is celebrating their move to Hagerty Hall, with the archives and archive viewing room as part of the Humanities Suite.

All the centers will be on display, with student presentations and information on how to become more involved in their activities. Elissa Washuta, author and program director of the American Indian Studies Program, will read from her latest book, White Magic. The Center for the Study of Religion will have a listening station with audio from their American Religious Sounds Project.   We'll have refreshments, student presentations, center "swag," giveaways and more.

This event is free and open to the public. Co-sponsored by the Center for Ethnic Studies, the Center for Folklore Studies, the Center for Medieval and Renaissance Studies, the Center for the Study of Religion and the Melton Center for Jewish Studies.

RSVPs are requested. RSVP here.
