Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

Congratulations, Danille Christensen!

Danille Christensen
Congratulations to Danille Christensen, who has just accepted a position as Assistant Professor of Public Humanities at Virginia Tech! She'll be teaching courses on material culture, folklore/folklife, and communication, with a special focus on Appalachia as a geographic and cultural region; working with graduate students pursuing the new Material Culture & Public Humanities degree; and finishing her book on home canning in the United States.

We are delighted that she will have the opportunity to build a program of her own, and we can't imagine anyone better equipped to do it.
