SP25 Graduate Student Travel Grants Awarded

Folklore Studies Grants and Funding

The Center for Folklore Studies has announced this year’s recipients of the Graduate Student Travel Grant, supporting folklore scholars as they present their research at major conferences around the country.

Zahra Abedi and Daisy Ahlstone will travel to the Western States Folklore Society meeting at Utah State University in Logan, Utah, where they will share their work with fellow folklore scholars. Nicholas Booker will present at the International Association for the Study of Popular Music conference in Paris, France, contributing to global conversations on the intersections of folk and popular music.

These grants provide crucial support for graduate students pursuing the Graduate Interdisciplinary Specialization in Folklore, enabling them to share their research, exchange ideas and connect with the broader academic community at both national and international levels.

Congratulations to the recipients!
