The Appalachian Project to be featured in the Vice President for Research's State of Research Address
Vice President for Research, Caroline C. Whitacre, will feature the work of The Appalachian Project, Ohio in her State of Research Address this Thursday, October 22nd at 8:30am in the Ohio Union, US Bank Conference Theater. She will discuss the project in relation to the larger context of research at the entire university.
The Appalachian Project is a collaboration of the Center for Folklore Studies, the Office of Social Change, and the Department of Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. This year, the project launched the Community of Appalachian Student Leaders (CASL), a peer mentorship program for students from the Appalachian region attending Ohio State University.
