Sophia Enriquez is an Assistant Professor of Music at Duke University. Her dissertation project investigates Latinx music in Appalachia and notions of musical and cultural hybridity. Enriquez was a graduate teaching associate in the OSU School of Music and a Graduate Teaching Fellow through the University Center for the Advancement of Teaching. Enriquez holds a Graduate Interdisciplinary Specialization in Folklore and a graduate minor in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. Enriquez also holds a bachelor degree in Music Education from West Virginia University.
