Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

La historia de Anabel Barron Sánchez será inspiradora para muchos. Ella vivió en Ohio cuando era bebé pero se mudó a México, donde fue a la escuela. Como adulta volvió a Lorain, OH porque le encantaba la zona y creía que ella había puesto sus raíces aquí. Ella es una sobreviviente de violencia doméstica y una defensora de las mujeres. Atribuye gran parte de su éxito y bienestar a los líderes locales, especialmente el  ahora jubilado jefe de policía, Celestino Rivera.

Anabel Barron Sanchez’s story will be inspirational for many. She lived in Ohio as a baby but moved to Mexico where she went to school. As an adult she moved back to Lorain, OH because she loved the area and believed she set her roots here. She is a domestic violence survivor and an advocate for women. She attributes much of her success and well-being to local leaders, especially chief Celestino Rivera.
