Diana Pagan moved to Ohio from Chicago Illinois when she was in middle school. Her heritage is Dominican and her culture and Spanish language were part of her daily experience in Chicago. Diana was shocked when she moved to Ohio because, compared to her hometown, there were very few Latinos in this area. Her story tells us of her deep connection to her family and her passion for the Latino community. Diana is involved in many non-profit organizations that have a mission to serve Latinos in the State, but what is most commendable is her role as the CAPA Latino Festival organizer for the past few years. Diana’s commitment to her family, friends and the community is evident in each of the things she chooses to be a part of.
