Jenice Contreras moved to Cleveland, OH from Puerto Rico when she was in middle school. Ms. Contreras has many accomplishments; she is Director of the North East Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and the Hispanic Business Center in Cleveland and a proud mother of two young sons. She talked to me about family, language and the many jobs that have allowed her to serve the Latino community in Ohio. Given her educational achievements, she could successfully thrive in the corporate world, but her passion and commitment has always been with the Latinos. She is currently involved in a project called “La Villa Hispana” which intends to be the center of Hispanic businesses and cultural and arts centers that celebrate and promote the Hispanic culture in Cleveland.
