Lupe was born in California and moved to Ohio when she was just a little girl. In this interview, Lupe talks about the use of Spanish, her traditions—including her Quinceañera—and her love for the Buckeye state. Although not mentioned in this interview, Lupe has been a leader for many years. She was one of the first graduates of Metro high school, and was a L.A.S.E.R. scholar while she was an undergraduate student at OSU. She currently is completed her master’s degree at San Diego State University, and is currently working on her doctoral degree in Higher Education.
