Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

Appalachian Studies Network@OSU (-2018)

The mission of the Appalachian Studies Network@OSU was to provide and support opportunities for students, staff, faculty, and community members at OSU and beyond to create and foster complex interdisciplinary conversations, critical engagements, and community-led and community-focused projects in collaboration with Appalachians and the Appalachian region. They seeked to celebrate the richness and diversity of Ohio’s Appalachian counties and the broader Appalachian region, and to create a conversation at Ohio State University and beyond about the issues Appalachian students and the region face. Using a multitude of approaches, they worked toward creating a sustainable educational and economic atmosphere in Appalachian Ohio, generating conversations at OSU and beyond.
