The Iberian Studies Group at the Department of Spanish and Portuguese will be holding a roundtable discussion on the current crisis in Catalonia, and consequently in Spain. Scholars from and outside OSU will address the causes and possible consequences of the push for independence, which has resulted in the most serious political conflict the country has seen since the restoration of democracy after Franco. This event will be held in English.
