Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. Cultural Resilience Reading Group Meeting

Book cover of Development as Freedom, written by Amartya Sen
August 19, 2014
2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Rm. 120, Merschon Center for International Security Studies, 1501 Neil Ave.

The Mershon Research Network in Cultural Resilience will hold a second reading group meeting, this time to discuss Amartya Sen's Development as Freedom (New York: Knopf, 1999) and its implications for small-scale cultural and linguistic practice. Coffee and something to munch on will sustain our conversation.

As before, books will be ordered at SBX and will be free to students who pre-register. Otherwise, the book costs about $17. In order to provide SBX with a base estimate, those interested in participating will need to email Cassie Patterson ASAP at patterson.493@osu.edu, letting her know whether you will need a copy of the book and whether you are a student.
