Dr. Jessica Turner, Executive Director of the American Folklore Society, will discuss folklore’s long engagement with public humanities work, speaking to the ethical and methodological commitments that folklorists’ contribute to the public humanities. Turner will outline specific projects and initiatives that guide community- and policy-based initiatives in non-profit spaces across the world.Co-sponsors of this event include the Folklore Student Association and the Humanities Institute.This event is FREE and open to the public.
