Meetings will take place at the Third Way Cafe from 6-8pm.Course description:Global economic crisis has led some to despair, but others are finding ways to make the economy work better for humanity and for the planet. Using the guidebook Take Back the Economy as our text, we will take a practical, hands-on approach to economics. We'll experiment with ways to reinsert ethics into the everyday economies we participate in.And we'll use these big questions to guide our conversation: How can we survive well? How should we distribute surplus? What is our relationship to the rest of the people in the world? What do we consume? How do we care for the things we hold in common? How do we invest for the future?We'll read a chapter a week and come together for discussion, experimentation, and reflection on the power we have to make a different kind of world.Required Text: J.K. Course description:
