CFS Creates Daniel R. Barnes Prize

This is an annual $200 cash award for the year's best folklore paper by an OSU undergraduate. It honors beloved emeritus professor Daniel R. Barnes, who taught folklore and literature courses in Ohio State's Department of English from 1967 until 1995. We have created this new prize as a complement to the Patrick J. Mullen Prize for best graduate paper. The procedure is roughly the same:

Please urge your strongest students from the past year to submit their final papers from Spring or Autumn 2013, or more recent work.

Students

Papers should be submitted to Cassie Patterson at patterson.493@osu.edu, by 11:59pm on Sunday, March 30th, 2014. Make certain that the subject line says "Barnes Prize Submission 2014."
