Congratulations to Dr. Levi Gibbs, for yesterday defending his dissertation "Song King: Tradition, Social Change, and the Contemporary Art of a Northern Shaanxi Folksinger," chaired by Mark Bender with Ray Cashman and others on the committee. Levi and Aida move to New Hampshire this summer so that Levi can begin his position as Assistant Professor of Chinese at Dartmouth College.
