Dr. Cassie Patterson Receives ASC Outstanding Staff Award

CFS Assistant Director, Dr. Cassie Patterson, is a recipient of one of six 2017 Arts and Sciences Outstanding Staff Awards. The award recognizes staff members in the arts and sciences who have demonstrated sustained excellence in overall job performance and have improved or enhanced work life and services of faculty, staff, students, and/or the university, especially those who have enhanced the visibility of the College of Arts and Sciences through interdisciplinary connections and/or community service.

Cassie is rapidly becoming the face of folklore studies in Ohio through her engaged research in Scioto and Perry Counties, as well as her numerous collaborations with the Barnett Center for Integrated Arts and Enterprise, the Ohio History Connection, the Midwest Folklorists Retreat, the American Folklore Society's US-China collaboration, and local bicycle advocacy group, YayBikes! Congratulations to a woman of many powers!
