Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. Assistant Director, Cassie Patterson, convened and presented for two roundtables at the 36th annual conference of the Appalachian Studies Association (March 22-25). Cassie presented "Building an Activist Group for Appalachia in the University: The Literacy in Appalachia Graduate Group at The Ohio State University" with Krista Bryson, co-chair of the Literacy in Appalachia GradGroup.

The Appalachian Project, a CFS collaboration with the Office of Student Life, presented "The Appalachian Project @Ohio State University." Presenters included Dr. Patricia Cunningham (co-director, Ph.D. Education), Krista Bryson (co-director, Ph.D. Candidate, English), Cassie Patterson (convenor and co-director, Ph.D. Candidate, Folklore), and Amanda Baker (Education), Raven Lynch (Psychology), Kaylyn Parker (B.S. Psychology), Eric Stewart (Philosophy), Madeline Stockwell (International Studies), and Brooke Walters (Political Science).
