My current research focuses on 'global peers' and their collaborative production of local imagined and material spaces in their school and community.

I am also rethinking and documenting new forms of reading education that emphasize the arts (versus extended discussion) as a mode of interpretation. I argue that such approaches are more inclusive of and afford more critical inquiry into the meaning of cultural identity, agency, and power in texts and everyday interactions.
