Megan Moriarty oversees marketing and communication for the Humanities Institute (HI). This involves publicizing the many events, lectures, film screenings and community gatherings that the HI hosts every semester. Megan also works on community outreach and engagement, event planning and overseeing the Institute's exhibitions of material culture.
With a master's degree in art education from OSU, Megan strives to stay connected to the arts in the university and the greater Columbus community. She is interested in the science behind creativity, as well as visual thinking strategies, artful thinking, design thinking and studio thinking.
Outside of her role in the institute, Megan works as a freelance art educator, guest curator and artist. She teaches artmaking workshops in museums, libraries and non-profits around Columbus, and serves on the cultural committee for the Dublin Irish Festival. Her work can be found in the Ohio Craft Museum, at handmade art fairs and in other galleries and gift shops around Columbus.
