As a graduate student in folklore, Nicole Vangas conducted ethnographic research related to learning about Arab American foodways. Since then she has been working at OSU as an academic advisor and helping students find majors that are a good fit for the strengths and interests. Her experience with interviewing during my research helps her each day as she “interviews” the students who come to her office looking for help finding a major.
